Hydration Is the Key!

There’s no question, water is the key to life. Water helps us absorb and digest our nutrients and eliminate toxins. Water lubricates our joints, helps protect our tissues, and gives flexibility to our muscles, tendons, cartilage and bones. Each of our cells contains water. Like a fish tank, the better the condition of the water, the healthier the fish.

Unfortunately, in the United States, to many people are continuing to gain weight and have entered into the realm of OBESITY.  Obesity is defined by the National Institutes of Health as having a BMI (Body Mass Index) of 30 or more.  This correlates to approximately 30 pounds overweight.  It is time to address extra weight that has been gained and to fight obesity by making lifestyle changes.

Acidosis is defined as:  “a condition characterized by an abnormal increase in the acidity of the blood and extracellular fluids.” (World English Dictionary)

Excess acidity is a condition that weakens all body systems.  Excess acidity forces the body to borrow minerals including calcium, sodium, potassium, and magnesium from vital organs, bones, and teeth to buffer (neutralize) the acid and safely remove it from the body.
