About Us

THE ANCHOR WITH THE CROSS AND ARROW IN THE CENTER
We are anchored in Christ. He is our only salvation from sin – He is the anchor of our souls – Hebrews 6:13-20.
We should always be looking up towards Him.

SHIELD SHAPE
The Lord is our Shield - Psalm 28:7 “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy and with my song I praise him.”

ARROWS IN THE CIRCLE
We are to continually grow without hesitation or fear, growing in our faith and relationship with Christ. We should be growing in our relationships with others. We should be growing in our martial art training, our education, and in all areas of our lives.

THE FIST - FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT
1 Timothy 6:12 “Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.”
Ephesians 6:12 “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

THE LIGHTHOUSE - WE ARE CALLED TO SHINE CHRIST’S LIGHT UNTO THE WORLD
Acts 13:47 “For so the Lord has commanded us: ‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”
Matthew 5:16 “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven.”
John 8:12 “When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’”

THE TREE - BEARING FRUIT, NEW CREATION, GROWTH
Colossians 1:9-10 “For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God.”
2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
John 15:5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”

JOINED ARMS - CHRIST WITH US, COMMUNITY
Matthew 18:20 “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
Proverbs 27:17 “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.”

COLORS:
BLUE - perfect for the shield representing the Holy Spirit and truth. It represent Heaven where the saved will spend their eternal lives. It also keeps the color history from CKD.
GOLD - perfect for being anchored in Christ. Gold and yellow are colors of fire representing God and his refining process. Gold also represents God’s holiness and majesty. It also keeps the color history from CKD.
RED - Through the knowledge of God’s love, acknowledgement of our sins and acceptance of Christ who shed his blood for us, we will be able to continue to grow eternally.
WHITE - Represents surrender to Christ, redemption of sin, victory from death and the absolute purity of God.
BLACK - perfect for the background, much like the background of the sinful world we live in. Black is only the background of our logo and of our lives. Shining through the darkness is everything represented by the other colors and symbols.

Let us always strive to allow Christ to shine through our lives!

We teach a modern and sophisticated martial art that has its history in the Korean martial arts of Tae-Kwon-Do and Traditional CKD.

We finished up January and February focusing on our first principle of humility. As we go through spring (March and April) we will be moving on to our next principle of INTEGRITY. This is another character trait and principle that we find in the Bible and is so important as we go through our lives.

As we go through the months of January and February putting a heavy emphasis on Choi Kwang Do's First Principle - HUMILITY - I have been posting some encouraging quotes and Bible verses on Facebook. I wanted to share them as well on our webpage as not everyone is on facebook and not everyone who is on facebook checks it regularly. I will be updating this list each day as well. The more we as a school and individuals consciously focus on being humble, the more we are able to ministry to those around us!!!
